Our Mission
Our mission is to provide food assistance and essential support to families living in extreme poverty in El Salvador, with a focus on children, elderly individuals, and vulnerable households facing chronic food insecurity.
What We Do
Food Assistance (Primary Program)
Food insecurity remains one of the most urgent challenges facing many families in El Salvador. One Seed of Hope addresses this need by providing staple food packages that help households meet their basic nutritional requirements.
Food distributions focus on essential items such as rice, beans, flour, sugar, and canned goods, ensuring families have reliable access to nourishment that supports health and well-being.
Supporting Basic Living Conditions (secondary programs)
When resources allow, One Seed of Hope supports additional basic needs that directly affect family health and safety. These efforts are secondary to our food assistance mission and are implemented as support services.
These may include:
- Limited home improvements to enhance safety and livability
- Access to clean water through basic water solutions
- Small-scale energy support when appropriate
All secondary programs are designed to complement our primary focus on food security.
Our Impact
With the support of donors and volunteers, One Seed of Hope has made measurable progress:
- Provided food and essential assistance to over 2,000 individuals in El Salvador
- Built a network of 100+ volunteers and supporters in California
